Besides, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Srilankan economy is much more open and complementary in most respect with China. As China move up in manufacturing chain it open opportunity for Bangladesh, Pakistan, Srilanka and Nepal to take on those opportunities. Point is trade, economic and strategic relation with China is complementary and win win for soth asian countries. But with india is completely opposite and destructive.

Great Input. Maybe we can have a FTA without India in the future. Each country has its competitive advantages and we all benefit from each other.

I know China already started heavily to invest in Sri Lanka, that's very good start. In the future , industrial parks will spawn over Karachi-Islamabad corridor, even software parks. Bangladesh could be a huge manufacture base with plants shifted from China. And Sri Lanka is an international transit hub for global business.

I am not denying this fact that these economies are open to Chinese goods. Every nation in the world buys Chinese goods. What I meant was free movement of goods. It may help strategically in the short term. In the long term you wouldn't want the balance of trade to depend on free inflow of finished goods. There is very little Pakistan, SriLanka or even India can offer China in terms of Finished goods.

I was checking in your hindustantimes.com, since when Myanmar is a south asian country that you can put Myanmar in your South Asia News section, if by your source is correct?

how many standard do you have? and your clueless MAP in your brain?

Let me bring it down a level or two to help you understand.
Trade organizations stick to regions as defined by UN or WTO. Tibet is not a country. And Myanmar is not in the definition as per UN. That is what the SAARC stuck to. Does this compute?
Secondly The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation or SCO is an intergovernmental mutual-security organisation. Western media has defined it as a central Asian axis but it does not define itself as one. No organization in Asia will want to include only one country between India and Pakistan. Accepting only one as a member would mean facing hostility from the other. India's bid hasn't harmed Pakistan.If anything it has actually smoothened any friction China and Russia could have over the issue and is a step towards better relations in Asia as a whole.

That's true. It's the Indo-Pakistan hostility that's actually harming the process. Hope things work out.
