Ok this is height of stupidity ....not to mention disgusting! I was under the impression that 10% was for other people and 90% merit!

I'm from a punjabi family lived in Karachi and still few our relatives residing there, one of my second cousin got higher education and he is biologist He couldn't get a sufficient job coz of domicile he have of Sind, he changed his address to Punjab get a domicile of there and he got a good job in ISD, even he is master but failed to get the job he looking for coz of domicile i.e quota, it's a very fishy system sometime merit didn't count sometime metric pass got a dream job.

The government have created new universities in small towns but still have quota system in some universities. Especially in Karachi with 20 million people has its universities saddled with quota system that forces them to admit academically unqualified students from rural Sindh. The Sindh government has spent so much money in new colleges and universities in smalll towns but have not removed quota system Only private businesses and colleges is the solution from these government quotas.

And almost exactly 100 years ago, the forefathers of Pakistan were fighting for Quotas, While Congress views were on merit bases


Anyway - Removing quotas or restructuring it will not solve the problem unless the mechanism of recruitment is restructured and made more transparent - otherwise victim card will not go.

Wht if some provinces have higher literacy rate , more schools, and MOST important of all are offered better quality of education, ppl have better financial state to hire tuitions hence getting better results in exams. Absence of quota system will make those provinces sweep away highest number of seats.

Just a random thought i shared.
