Gono Forum President Kamal Hossain today said the two lawmakers-elect of his party may take oath and join the 11th parliament.

Kamal, also the convener of Jatiya Oikyafront, came up with the new development at a press conference at Bangladesh Shishu Kalyan Parishad after an extended meeting of the party.


"We've rejected the election, but the way our two candidates came out successful in such an election through competition is their big achievement. So, we're thinking positively about sending them to parliament," he said.

He thinks that it will not create any problem with its alliance partner BNP, though BNP has already decided not to join the parliament.

Dr Kamal said their two MPs can play a positive role in parliament after taking the oath.

He, however, said the Jatiya Oikyafront will remain intact to create pressure on the government.

Replying to a question, the Gono Forum president said they may move to the court over the election if they get the evidence of serious allegation of vote frauds.

Taking oath or not is just personal decision. Dr Kamal Hossain was the leader of Jatiya oikko front.
And now we will see what BNP ( a part of Jatiya oikko front) react .
But BNP some supporters also started abusing Kamal Hossain as national traitor.
What type of democratic behaviour it is from BNP,
I would like to humbly ask it from some of my compatriots here for their new found love for democracy against mass rigging.
Is it that democracy for we are ready to come to street ?
What wrong Dr Kamal Hossain done that such nasty behaviour of FB mass crowed? Anyone can check it by visiting news links share in fb.
Kamal didn't rig election, but govt did. But why such attack on Kamal Hossain? Is it the democratic culture ?
Are we whining for such culture where if I want to take my personal decision, then I am betrayer?
These savages mass do not deserve democracy, rather they deserve military boot.
Whine for democracy but if others want to make their own decision, call them betrayer, national traitor.

Nah they will not I believe . Just wait and watch . There will be 3 political party in Bangladesh in future instead of two. But surely AL is going to rule maybe atleast 10 more years!

Why not? Gono forum is a party never won any seat in the past. So winning 2 seats is like a dream comes true for them. Thanks to sheafs of paddy symbol under which they took part in this so called election. So Gono forum might be the happiest party currently right now. Even more than Awami League I think.

It will never happen if you meant BNP will also merge with AL. Even if this happen some how, then half of the Bangladeshi people who do not like AL will find some other political party to carry on their option to vote against AL. Political parties merger do not mean, people's ideology or liking/disliking will also merge. So opposition may weaken or strengthen under different circumstances, but it will never vanquish under multi party system.

Exactly I want this . Let them choose some other party after the complete destruction of the vicious alliance , then we will choose another party that can peacefully treat AL autocracy . opposition parties should work for peopls , not for violence in the street . Not for spreading propaganda that if AL won , Azan will be stopped from masjid and conch sound will replace it , criticism of govt does not mean that if someone will come to power , then Muslim women shall be forced to wear shanka and sidur . Such heinous cult like political cult is the reason to rise the 71 cult and reason of degradation of our freedom fight .
Religion and freedom fight all are noble in certain degree . They are not to sell in market to get vote.
If you set for some one else , you may fall in the same trap , and exactly this thing happened for BNP. Now let BAL remove the name of BNP once and for all from Bnagladesh in this 5 years , so that other stronger patriot political party can replace the traitors to mother land .

First and last is our motherland Bangladesh , she is far far far far millions of far superior to any political party . May Bangladesh live forever .

I am increasingly afraid that BAL is going CPC route. This can be good or this can be disastrous. Let's wait and see. As of now there is no viable alternative to Hasina
