19 Brigadiers promoted as Major Generals

As many as 19 Brigadiers have been promoted to Major General Post. The decision was made during the meeting of promotion board held at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi with Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez in chair. The meeting approved promotion of 19 military officials.

The brigadier rank officials who have been promoted to Major General post included Umer Durrani, Ahmed Mehmood, Tariq Masoor, Tahir Javed, Nazir Butt, Mazhar Salim, Muhammad Jaffar, Najum ul Hassan, Ghulam Qamar, Ali Abbas, Abid Rafique, Asif Khattak, Jamil Rehmat Venus, Saleem Raza, Malik Abbas, Syed Badshah Hussain and shahab Naqvi and M. Junaid.
