127 foreign, Pakistani nationals to be conferred civil awards on 23rd

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi will confer civil awards on 127 foreign and Pakistani nationals for showing excellence in their respective fields.

An investiture ceremony for these awards will take place on Pakistan Day, 23rd March.

Prominent among the people who will be conferred awards are former cricket stars Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis, (Hilal-e-Imtiaz), Shaheed Nawabzada Mir Siraj Raisani (Sitara-i-Shuta’at), film actor Babra Sharif (Sitara-i-Imtiaz), Mehwish Hayat (Tamgha-i-Imtiaz), singer Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi ( Sitara-i-Imtiaz), Syed Sabihuddin Usamni (Tamgha-i-Imtiaz – Naat recitation), Aqeel Karim Dhedhi (Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Public Service), and anchorperson Arshad Sharif (President’s Award Pride of Performance).
