So that means I can post about every Indian killed in an accident, or any Indian killed in every other way each & every day? Because there is a lot of news on that as well that can be posted.

Yes provided they were killed in political/ethnic violence and targetted killings which is clearly the case of Karachi killings.

Anyway if you can post news about "records about Gujarat riots destroyed" which has nothing to do with Pakistan , why cant this be there ? Truth is always bitter. Learn to handle it.

Returning to topic :- Is this fresh round of violence started by MQM or ANP ?

if there can be a thread on insurgencies in India.. why can't there be a thread on sectarian killing in karachi..??
karachi is one of the most violent city in the world... thousands get killed in sectarian violence in Karachi...
rather than talking about the gravity of issue ur killing the messenger..

You already done many times. Do you need proof for that ? It's not about 1 killing or Road Accident. It's 12 killed, 16 injured in Karachi violence.

You can post if some Terrorist attack and 10-20 people are killed. Also, There is Sticky thread for Maoist attack in India Defence section which you update regularly. lol. But there is no such thread like "Terrorist attack" in Pakistan Defence Section. What you say ? Is this fair when daily such incident happening ?? Request Mods/Admins to start something like that.

RIP the innocent victims of the mindless violence in Karachi. Sadly this kind of violence takes place too often for the long suffering citizens there. There should be an end to that, hopefully.

Karachiites fear violence may erupt

2 July 2011 KARACHI - Karachiites are bracing for a fresh eruption of politically-motivated violence in the wake of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s decision to quit the Pakistan People’s Party-led coalition at the centre and in Sindh.
The first signals emerged during the last 24 hours when at least 15 people, including a woman, were shot dead and more than 12 othere seriously injured in incidents of violence in the city.

A bloody gunbattle between two groups in New Karachi area left four people, including a woman, dead and several others injured that led to tensions in several areas of the metropolis with police and Rangers making little effort to control the situation.

The new controversial chief of Sindh police, Wajid Durrani, admitted on Friday that the law and order situation in the city was “bad” and it will take time to control the violence.

A look at the past history of the city since the emergence of the MQM as a major stakeholder of country’s commercial centre clearly shows that whenever the party quit the coalition government death and destruction followed with hundreds of people killed and losses of billions of rupees to property.

Karachiites have a reason to fear for fresh wave of violence due to the latest political situation arising out of the MQM’s departure from government.

According to the latest figures over 200 people have been killed in June and the signs are not good as during the past three days several areas of the city have witnessed gunbattles leaving at least 10 people dead. Almost all the people, when questioned about the possible violence following the MQM’s exit from the government, said “yes we fear more violence in coming days and months”.

Syed Sardar Ahmed, Parliamentary Leader of the MQM in the Sindh Assembly, however, was hopeful and rejected the concerns that his party’s exit from the government will result in rise in violence in the city.

“We are in the opposition and we will stay in the opposition. We will raise questions about the wrongdoings of the government. If people think we are involved (in violence) they can also raise questions about us.”

The same sentiments were voiced by Taj Haider, General Secretary of the PPP in Sindh, who emphasised the need to stick to the political process despite differences the parties may have.

“We face major challenges and peace is essential especially in Karachi. It is not the time to indulge in trading accusations and everyone should work towards reconstruction and reconciliation”, he added.
