100 years later,French soldiers stationed in Estonia relearned to fight and operate in trenches.

Durind the exercise, infantry platoons trained to rotate into and out of a front line under fire. @Nilgiri

BTW,this was the last exercice for this FFL unit in Estonia, soon to be replaced by another French army unit.

It's a FAMAS "Felin",modified as part of the Felin future soldier program. The weapon has a lowered silhouette, making it possible to maintain a line of sight as close as possible to the axis of the barrel. The barrel was also replaced to be compatible with NATO ammunitions.

There are buttons on the grip to control the IR sight. The video sight also alows the soldier to extend the weapon and aim around a corner or behind a cover without exposing his body to the enemy’s line of sight.

There's also another version of the FAMAS in service, called "valorisé".

However, not all the FAMAS currently in service have been modified.

Anyway,it's slowly being replaced by the HK416F,recently deployed in operations.
